Chiropractic

Gentle, effective chiropractic care for anyone dealing with pain or dysfunction, or who are interested in preventing pain and dysfunction. We use a variety of adjusting techniques and therapies based on your specific needs and the goals you would like to achieve.

I became interested in chiropractic in my early teens when a course of chiropractic care relieved my mom of long-term, debilitating back pain. However, my love of horses and the outdoors outweighed my interest in what I thought of as ‘an office job.’ I got my bachelor’s degree in Equestrian Science in 2001 and worked in the equine industry for 12 years.

During that time, I found myself frequently referring people to chiropractors to help address the pain and dysfunction that affected their ability to ride and be as active as they wanted. Eventually, a series of life-events led me to a career change, and I went back to school to become a chiropractor.

While there, I developed an interest in neuroscience as well. I was fascinated by recent advances in the emerging field of pain science, and the most intriguing part was a growing awareness of just how much the overall well-being of the person determines their risk of ‘chronicity’ - or what is now known as chronic pain.

The good news is that we can address the rising epidemic of chronic pain by practicing wellness, respect the body’s repair process, and staying active and involved in the things we love. Chiropractic excels at this - and this is the focus and goal of my practice. If you are interested in learning more, please call or email for a consultation.
