Jolene Laughlin, D.C., also known as “Dr. Jo”, is the chiropractor and founder of The Homeplace Chiropractic and Alternative Health. She’s a county girl who loves family, animals, and the outdoors, but she’s most passionate about the innate intelligence of the human body and its role in health and healing.
Chiropractic philosophy with its emphasis on the intricate complexity and interconnectedness of the human body provides focus to her endless curiosity and obsession with learning.
She is relentless in her determination to figure out the root cause of the problem and address it in a way that works best for each individual. She uses a variety of adjusting techniques and her own mix of chiropractic philosophy, neuroscience, and pain science.
Because of her unique approach and deep commitment to respect for the individual, “The Homeplace” feels more like a living room where friends collaborate and less like a traditional chiropractic office.
Appointments with Dr. Jo take a minimum of 15 minutes and may take longer, depending on the type of care needed for that visit, so we’re somewhat limited in the number of patients we accept at any given time. We look for clients who are willing to do the work necessary to get well and stay well and are truly committed to giving their body their best. So, be ready to pull up a chair and have a chat. And as Dr. Jo says, “Welcome Home.”

Jordan Zigler, NTP, RWP Level 1, is a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and holds a Level 1 Certificate in Gastrointestinal Healing through the Restorative Wellness Practitioner program. She collaborates with Dr. Jo at The Homeplace Chiropractic, where their shared goal is to provide each individual with a well-rounded, personalized approach to living their healthiest and most vibrant life.
Jordan is passionate about educating others on how to support their bodies through real, nutrient-dense foods. She believes that eating well doesn’t have to mean boring meals or strict food restrictions—it can be both joyful and delicious. However, achieving true health often requires peeling back the layers, addressing gut health, and shifting the mindset around food. Years of consuming processed foods and being bombarded with conflicting nutrition messages can take a toll on both the gut and the mind.
Her approach to nutrition begins with a deep dive into each individual’s health story. Ultimately, her mission is to empower people to understand and care for their own bodies with confidence and clarity.
